Who We Are

"Great food & great company are two of life's simplest, yet greatest pleasures'

Established in 2017, The Square was a passion project for it's owner, Hannah, who, having travelled extensively in her 20 year corporate career working in the Event & Hospitality industry, wanted to bring the very best of all of the fabulous cafes and coffee shop's she'd visited across the globe, home to The Square.

"I've visited many eateries and food & drink establishments on my travels and took away the little bits that I loved from each.

I wanted to create an environment that was warm and homely, a place where you'd feel comfortable curling up with a book and a mug of coffee on a sofa and watching the world go by, a place to gather with good friends for brekkie, a place you can pop in and grab a brew on your way to work where the staff welcome you by name.

I wanted to create a casual and welcoming location in The Square. It also had to serve a great breakfast - of course"

Since then, The Square has become a familiar, central and well loved part of the village. Our customers are incredibly important to us, we love getting to know everyone and are always very happy to adapt any of our dishes to accommodate where possible. 

We've weathered a few storms and are still here and, along with our team of fantastic, passionate, professional and dedicated staff, will continue to plan and evolve (hopefully) over the years to come!
